How Can We Help?

Saving Amazon Invoices

Amazon is very easy to shop from but it can be difficult to match the bank charges to the order if it contains multiple items.  It can also be difficult to remember what was ordered to correctly categorize the order in your books.  In the case of an audit, you will need to substantiate that the purchase was for a business purpose so having the information already organized will save you a lot of time and stress later on.

You have several choices:

  1. If you have an Amazon Business account and use QuickBooks Online, you can use the Amazon Business app integration to sync your orders directly to your books.
  2. You can use a third-party app such as Greenback to export your Amazon purchases and sync them to your books.  Word of caution, be very careful if you decide to set up this integration yourself.  If in doubt, reach out to us as incorrect setup can lead to expensive cleanups.
  3. Manually export the Amazon invoice in a few clicks every time you place an order and upload it into Hubdoc or your cloud storage app of choice.

If you opt for option number 3, do the following:

From the order confirmation screen- click on “Review or edit your recent orders”

In the next screen, click on “Invoice”

Finally, click on “Print this page for your records” and save as PDF to your preferred cloud storage location.  Pro Tip: use the order date and expense category in the file name for ease of searching later.
